Abstract

Este capítulo explora cómo la política monetaria, a través de diversos instrumentos, impacta el sector real de la economía mediante tres canales principales: la tasa de interés, el crédito y el tipo de cambio. Estos canales permiten influir en variables como producción, empleo, inversión y consumo, contribuyendo a estabilizar los ciclos económicos. El análisis destaca la importancia de combinar estrategias convencionales y no convencionales para maximizar el impacto de la política monetaria en economías abiertas y globalizadas. Además, subraya la necesidad de considerar los rezagos y la credibilidad en las decisiones de política.
