Abstract

El documento describe la evolución de la política de tasa de cambio en Colombia desde la creación del Banco de la República en 1923 hasta la actualidad, presentado en puntos clave como: 1. Patrón oro (1923-1931) 2. Gran Depresión (1929-1932) 3. Era de industrialización (1930-1970) 4. Crisis de la deuda (1980) 5. Reformas económicas (1990) 6. Flotación cambiaria (1999) 7. Crisis financiera internacional (2008-2009) 8. Pandemia del COVID-19 (2020) En resumen, la política de tasa de cambio en Colombia ha evolucionado significativamente durante los últimos cien años, desde el patrón oro hasta la flotación cambiaria actual. El país ha enfrentado varios desafíos económicos, pero ha logrado mantener la estabilidad económica gracias a la flexibilidad de su régimen cambiario y a la implementación de medidas de política económica.
