Abstract

La historia de la banca central. Esta será la segunda vez que un grupo de expertos examina la vida institucional para contarla. Esta nueva historia tiene un enfoque más grande en comparación con el primer trabajo "El Banco de la República: antecedentes, evolución y estructura, del 1990" pues en esta ocasión se amplia frente a temas cronológicos, teóricos e ideológicos del actuar de la autoridad monetaria, en cada una de las etapas del Banco, entre otros temas. Se produjo un libro atractivo para aquellos interesados en un periodo especifico, los lectores se podrán interesar en los capítulos que contiene el libro, capítulos muy completos de los momentos críticos de la economía en el siglo XX y en el presente, para otros el interés podría estar en temas especializados como los aportes del Banco a la cultura colombiana o las relaciones del organismo y del país con el Fondo Monetario Internacional.
