La estrategia de inflación objetivo en Colombia

Abstract

El Banco de la República adopta la estrategia de inflación objetivo (IO) para guiar la política monetaria y cambiaria gradualmente. Con esta decisión el Banco de la república entra a ser parte de los bancos centrales del mundo que siguieron el ejemplo de Nueva Zelanda. Este documento trata las clasificaciones de las principales formas de IO dando sus definiciones. La popularización de esta nueva estrategia, la profundización de los economistas en estos mecanismos y la credibilidad que ganaban los bancos centrales.
