Abstract

El capítulo resume la administración y explotación de las salinas terrestres y marítimas de Colombia por parte del Banco de la República entre 1932 y 1969. Se destacan los siguientes puntos clave: - La Ley de 1824 estableció la propiedad y administración de las salinas por parte de la República. - El Banco de la República administró las salinas terrestres y marítimas, recibiendo el 2% de la producción neta. - El producto neto acumulado durante 37 años fue de COP 1,5 billones constantes de 2022. - El Banco invirtió COP 131.000 millones constantes de 2022 en obras de infraestructura. - El contrato finalizó en 1969 y las salinas fueron traspasadas al Instituto de Fomento Industrial (IFI).
