Abstract

El Banco de la República de Colombia tiene un área industrial que produce billetes, monedas y material gráfico. Desde 1941, ha desarrollado actividades industriales clave: - Impresión de material gráfico (1941) - Elaboración de moneda metálica (1942) - Fabricación de billetes (1959) El Banco es pionero en América Latina en la producción de billetes y monedas. La Constitución Política de 1991 consolidó su responsabilidad en la producción de billetes y monedas.
