Abstract

El período 1939-1945 se caracterizó por cambios significativos en la política económica: - Abandono del patrón oro: La Ley 167 de 1938 marcó el fin del patrón oro y la ortodoxia monetaria. - Intervención gubernamental: Se abrió un nuevo horizonte para la intervención gubernamental en la economía, con un enfoque en la política anticíclica y el crecimiento económico. - Política económica defensiva: La coyuntura de la Segunda Guerra Mundial llevó a una política económica defensiva, con un enfoque en la estabilidad cambiaria y monetaria, y el equilibrio presupuestal. - Desarrollos institucionales: Se produjeron avances institucionales en la intervención del Estado, con un enfoque en el largo plazo y el crecimiento económico.
