Abstract

Esta parte del trabajo se centra en el estudio del pensamiento económico de Kemmerer y su influencia en la reforma financiera de 1923. - Raíces teóricas: El pensamiento de Kemmerer se basa en la teoría monetaria clásica y neoclásica, con una adhesión irrestricta al patrón oro. - Influencia en la reforma: Las ideas de Kemmerer se reflejan en las leyes 25 y 45 de 1923, que dieron origen al sistema de banco central y bancos de crédito en Colombia. - Pensamiento monetario ortodoxo: El capítulo explora los principios básicos y las variaciones del pensamiento monetario ortodoxo, que Kemmerer consideraba como "la filosofía universal y ortodoxa del dinero". - Aportaciones: El pensamiento de Kemmerer se nutre de las controversias decimonónicas sobre patrones monetarios internacionales y las experiencias de los principales bancos europeos, enriquecidas por los acontecimientos monetarios del siglo XX.
