Abstract

Este período se caracteriza por el tránsito entre el sistema monetario del papel moneda y la reorganización financiera de 1923. - Cambios institucionales: Se produjeron cambios frecuentes en la definición de la unidad monetaria y se crearon instituciones para estabilizar la cotización en oro de la moneda nacional. - Reformas: Se destacan las reformas de 1903 y 1909, que crearon la Junta Nacional de Amortización y la Junta de Conversión, respectivamente. - Controversia bancaria: Se planteó una controversia sobre la organización del sistema bancario, con debates sobre la unidad o pluralidad de la emisión. - Reforma financiera: Se analiza la reforma propuesta por la Misión Kemmerer y los antecedentes y perspectivas de la reforma financiera de 1923.
