Abstract

Durante veinte años, hubo una controversia constante sobre el sistema monetario basado en el papel moneda. La discusión se centró en encontrar alternativas institucionales para reorganizar el sistema monetario del país. - Posiciones: Algunos defendían el abandono del papel moneda y la adopción de un patrón monetario metálico, mientras que otros confiaban en el papel moneda y en la regulación de la provisión monetaria por parte de las autoridades. - Nuevos interrogantes: La discusión se enfocó en explorar alternativas institucionales para reorganizar el sistema monetario, en lugar de debatir sobre la naturaleza o fines del papel moneda.
