Abstract

El Banco de la República tiene la facultad exclusiva de circular la moneda nacional, en un periodo de 20 años. Los billetes que el Banco emita deben serlo por pesos oro, del peso y de la ley que determina el Código Fiscal, se establece a cada moneda un valor equivalente al peso, esto se describe dentro de este documento. En el capítulo se tratan las diferencias entre las monedas y billetes del Banco de la República y otras entidades emisoras, el curso de los billetes del Banco de la República, la naturaleza de los créditos a cargo del Banco, los fines de la emisión y demás temas.
