El Estatuto Cambiario y la inversión extranjera

Abstract

La posición ambivalente frente a la Inversión Extranjera Directa (IED) que han adoptado los países latinoamericanos y el reconocimiento de las limitaciones al ahorro local y la inversión requerida para las altas tasas de crecimiento son temas que se ven en el presenten documento. Una de las razones que justifican la IED es su aporte tecnológico otros argumentos mencionados son la generación o ahorro de divisas y el empleo. Los antecedentes, el enfoque, contenido y comparación de las dos legislaciones tratadas en el capítulo serán materia de estudio de las cuatro secciones siguientes. Finalmente, en el Anexo se hará un análisis de la evolución de la IED en Colombia haciendo énfasis en el posible impacto de los cambios de legislación sobre la misma y de su contribución al desarrollo del país.
