Abstract

La década de 1970 en Colombia estuvo marcada por varias vicisitudes económicas, incluyendo problemas de desempleo y la implementación de estrategias económicas como el programa "Las cuatro estrategias" del gobierno de Misael Pastrana, que se centró en la construcción y la actividad urbana. También se implementó una reforma tributaria estructural en la administración de López Michelsen y se puso en marcha el Plan de desarrollo para cerrar la brecha, que incluía el Plan de Alimentación y Nutrición (PAN) y el programa de Desarrollo Rural Integral (DRI). La década también estuvo marcada por la bonanza cafetera de 1975 y las implicaciones cambiarias del auge cafetero. Al final de la década, la administración de Turbay Ayala implementó una nueva estrategia orientada hacia la infraestructura de carreteras, financiada con endeudamiento público externo. El Banco Mundial también jugó un papel importante en la década, entregando un reporte sobre el crecimiento económico de Colombia y planteando desafíos como el empleo y la agricultura.
