Abstract

Pretende mostrar el Caribe colombiano como componente fundamental del Gran Caribe transimperial, buscando entenderlo desde sus vínculos históricos con las islas caribeñas, resaltando que en el pasado sus habitantes no tenían marcado como un hecho ser parte de la nación colombiana; para ello presenta un análisis sobre la naturaleza problemática de las regiones, la trayectoria de un capitán y un marinero como ejemplo de la manera en que su estilo de vida contribuían al desarrollo de una región, y finalmente presenta una caracterización del Gran Caribe transimperial.
