Abstract

Abarca ocho temas sobresalientes en la historiografía del Caribe colombiano: las elites y sus vínculos con instituciones durante el siglo XIX, los esclavos, palenques y las características socio-raciales de la población durante la colonia, la historiografía sobre el mundo rural y los subalternos urbanos (milicias y como participaron en la independencia), el estilo de vida y movilidad social de los subalternos libres, y por último el turismo e imaginarios sociales y raciales en Cartagena del siglo XX.
