La oferta de dinero

Abstract

Estudiamos las fuentes de la expansión primaria del dinero y el proceso de la expansión secundaria. Las fuentes de la expansión primaria son los títulos del gobierno y la compra títulos de gobiernos extranjeros o reservas internacionales. Los determinantes de la expansión secundaria son el requisito de encaje, la relación de efectivo y el exceso de reserva. El control del dinero se puede ejercer controlando las fuentes de la expansión primaria de la base monetaria y modificando su multiplicador. El principal instrumento del control monetario son las OMA. Otros factores o políticas pueden afectar la expansión primaria del dinero; sin embargo, a medida que aumenta el número de estos factores la política monetaria pierde transparencia.
