Abstract

Este capítulo se divide en tres partes. En la primera, se estudia la evolución de la política monetaria entre 1946 y 1954, en la segunda parte la reforma del Banco de la República por medio del Decreto 756 de abril de 1951 y por último se estudia el período 1952-1954, cuando la economía pudo desenvolverse con holgura, debido a los altos precios internacionales del café y a la estabilidad macroeconómica que prevaleció
