Abstract

En 1932 el Banco de la República se comprometió en una tarea de apoyo cultural en Colombia, la cual inició con algunas colecciones de economía y en 1958 se inaugura la Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango. Hace una descripción de las colecciones bibliográficas, de música y de arte, los espacios físicos, la hemeroteca, la historia del Museo de Oro, los programas establecidos para la promoción de la investigación y la conservación del patrimonio cultural y arqueológico.||*Este capítulo se encuentra incluido en la V parte del libro Historia del Banco de la República 60 años, titulada "El Banco de la República en el panorama económico y en la actividad cultural de la Nación"
