Diferencial de rendimiento académico entre los alumnos de educación secundaria obligatoria y no obligatoria

Abstract

En este trabajo analizamos la prevalencia del rendimiento académico en los niveles no obligatorios, según su evaluación por una serie de indicadores de amplia aceptación aplicados a una muestra de 1011 estudiantes calificados en la convocatoria de junio de 2009. Nuestro objetivo prioritario se orienta a determinar las diferencias entre indicadores. Los resultados obtenidos a partir de la metodología estadística aplicada, revelan importantes diferencias en la proporción de éxito (fracaso), hasta el punto de que los distintos grupos de nivel obligatorio y no obligatorio profesional o academicista (bachillerato) muestran patrones especiales muy nitidos. Los diversas técnicas empleadas para estimar la magnitud de la dependencia éxito-nivel, entre las que destacamos el test de mantel y la regresión logística, muestran como el nivel cuantificado por variables categóricas, resulta ser un predictor positivo y estadísticamente significativo del éxito en este estadio educativo.
