SURVEYE: Stata module to create an interactive HTML dashboard from a Survey Solutions or SurveyCTO questionnaire and the corresponding Stata data

Abstract

Load one survey data file and point surveye to the questionnaire. Three questionnaire files are accepted, detected by content rather than extension: a Survey Solutions questionnaire preview (HTML); a SurveyCTO form definition (XML, downloaded in SurveyCTO under Design - form files), which is read exactly, including groups, repeats, choice lists, translations, and calculate fields; and a SurveyCTO printable form (HTML) - the printed Field/Question/Answer table is read directly, including group sections, nested and repeated subgroups, choice lists, and relevance conditions. Printables do not encode field types, so choice fields import as select_one and open or note fields as text; notes drop automatically when no matching data column exists. When a printable layout is not recognized, the error points to the XML definition. SurveyCTO split select_multiple exports (field_1, field_2, ...) are reassembled automatically.
