Abstract

Die Europäische Union benötigt eine ambitionierte Industriepolitik, um gegenüber den Wirtschaftsblöcken USA und China nicht an Bedeutung zu verlieren. Der Wissenschaftliche Beirat der Stiftung Familienunternehmen mahnt deswegen eine entschlossene Strategie der Europäischen Kommission an. 'Wir müssen aus dem Dornröschenschlaf erwachen, wenn wir im Welthandel nicht in die zweite Liga abrutschen wollen', erklären die Mitglieder gemeinsam. Mit einer aktiveren Außenhandelspolitik und einer Vertiefung des EU-Binnenmarkts könne die Kommission wichtige Impulse setzen.
