Anwendungsbilanzen Nordrhein-Westfalen 2021 für die Bereiche Private Haushalte und Verkehr: Endbericht - Oktober 2024

Abstract

Rund die Hälfte des Endenergieverbrauchs in Nordrhein-Westfalen entfiel 2021 nach Angaben von IT.NRW (2023) auf die Sektoren Private Haushalte (27%) und Verkehr (24%). Haushalte verwenden Energie insbesondere für die Erzeugung von Raumwärme und Warmwasser, aber auch zur Beleuchtung ihrer Wohnungen, zum Kochen und für den Betrieb elektrischer Geräte. Im Verkehrssektor werden die Energieträger fast ausschließlich zur Erzeugung mechanischer Energie genutzt, die dem Fahrzeugantrieb dient. In dieser Studie wird eine Differenzierung des Endenergieverbrauchs der privaten Haushalte und des Verkehrssektors in Nordrhein-Westfalen nach energetischen Anwendungszwecken für das Jahr 2021 vorgenommen. Methodisch baut das Projekt auf den Anwendungsbilanzen für Deutschland auf, die das RWI seit mehreren Jahren im Auftrag der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Energiebilanzen e.V. (AGEB) für das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz (BMWK) erstellt. Damit ist sichergestellt, dass die Ergebnisse dieser Studie mit den Anwendungsbilanzen für Deutschland vergleichbar sind.
