iff-Überschuldungsreport 2026. Überschuldung in Deutschland

Abstract

Seit 2008 veröffentlicht das iff jährlich einen Überschuldungsreport. Für die aktuelle Ausgabe wurden 224 768 Beratungsfälle aus den Jahren 2015 bis 2025 ausgewertet. Die Daten stammen von 122 Schuldnerberatungsstellen aus allen Bundesländern, darunter 36 480 Fälle mit Beratungsbeginn im Jahr 2025. Auch wenn es sich nicht um eine repräsentative Stichprobe handelt, zeichnen die breite Beteiligung und die hohe Detailtiefe der erhobenen Informationen ein aussagekräftiges Bild der Situation von Ratsuchenden bei Schuldnerberatungsstellen und ordnen diese in einen gesamtgesellschaftlichen Kontext ein.
