Hamburg Airport: Eine regionalwirtschaftliche Bewertung

Abstract

Ziel der Studie ist es, die regionalwirtschaftliche Bedeutung des Hamburger Flughafens systematisch darzustellen. Im Fokus stehen dabei die wirtschaftlichen Verflechtungen mit der Metropolregion Hamburg. Die Analyse zeigt: Jeder am Flughafen erwirtschaftete Euro steht im Zusammenhang mit bis zu 2,3 Euro an regionaler Bruttowertschöpfung. Ebenso sichert jeder Arbeitsplatz am Flughafen mindestens zwei weitere in der Region. Diese hohen Multiplikatoreffekte verdeutlichen die enge sektorale Verzahnung des Flughafens mit zahlreichen Bereichen der regionalen Wirtschaft - von Logistik und Dienstleistungen bis hin zum Tourismus. Der Flughafen fungiert damit nicht nur als infrastruktureller Verkehrsknotenpunkt, sondern als bedeutender wirtschaftlicher Impulsgeber für die gesamte Metropolregion. Die Studie leistet einen wichtigen Beitrag zum Verständnis der über den Luftverkehr hinausgehenden ökonomischen Rolle des Flughafens und liefert eine fundierte Grundlage für wirtschafts- und strukturpolitische Entscheidungen im regionalen Kontext.
