Abstract

Was bedeutet die Expansion der Hochschulbildung für den Stellenwert beruflich-betrieblicher Bildung? Dieser Frage geht die vorliegende Untersuchung anhand der Analyse der Branchen Einzelhandel, Metall- und Elektro und IKT nach. In allen untersuchten Branchen werden über eine betriebsinterne Qualifizierung gewonnene Fachkräfte (duale Ausbildung oder duales Studium) betriebsextern Qualifizierten vorgezogen. Darüber hinaus zeigt sich kein einheitliches Bild. Das Angebot dualer Studiengänge erscheint weniger auf betrieblichen Notwendigkeiten zu basieren als vielmehr auf der Nachfrage der Jugendlichen. Aufstiegswege für beruflich Qualifizierte bestehen weiterhin, allerdings stehen sie zunehmend in Konkurrenz zu den Absolvent(inn)en dualer Studiengänge
