Promovieren mit Stipendium: Eine Befragung der Absolventinnen und Absolventen der Promotionsförderung der Hans-Böckler-Stiftung

Abstract

Gegenstand dieser Evaluation ist die Promotionsförderung der Hans-Böckler-Stiftung, durch die jährlich etwa 450 Promotionsstipendiatinnen und -stipendiaten gefördert werden. Die Basis dieser Studie ist eine Befragung aller Stipendiatinnen und Stipendiaten der Hans-Böckler-Stiftung, deren Förderung zwischen dem 28.02.2001 und dem 31.12.2011 endete. Die quantitativ-empirische Evaluation liefert Informationen über Promotionsmotive und Promotionserfolg der Befragten, Rahmenbedingungen und Betreuung der Promotion, Gründe für Abbruch und Unterbrechung der Promotion und die Integration in das wissenschaftliche Feld. Es wird auf die Bewertung des Stipendiums und der ideellen Förderung, die Veränderung des gesellschaftlichen Engagements der Befragten sowie den beruflichen Erfolg der Stipendiaten und Stipendiatinnen nach ihrer Promotion eingegangen. Auf Grundlage der Befunde werden Empfehlungen für die weitere Gestaltung des Stipendiums der Hans-Böckler-Stiftung formuliert, die als Diskussionsgrundlage für die Weiterentwicklung des Stipendiums dienen können.
