Abstract

[Einleitung] Die fortschreitende Digitalisierung und damit einhergehend auch eine ihrer bedeutsamsten Entwicklungen - die "Künstliche Intelligenz" (KI) - beschäftigt die Unternehmen in so einem erheblichen Maß wie kaum ein anderes gesellschaftliches Thema. Die neuen Technologien führen zu einer Veränderung der Wirtschaft und Arbeitswelt. Während sie Unternehmen erhebliche Chancen bieten und völlig neue, innovative Möglichkeiten aufzeigen, wirft ihr Einsatz gleichzeitig weitreichende Fragen auf. Diese sind sowohl organisatorischer als auch rechtlicher und ethischer Natur. Insbesondere der Einsatz von KI erforderte eine einheitliche Rechtsgrundlage in der Europäischen Union (EU). Mit der am 12.07.2024 im Amtsblatt der EU veröffentlichten KI-Verordnung (KI-VO) wird der voranschreitenden Entwicklung hinreichend Bedeutung zugemessen und das weltweit erste umfassende Regelwerk für KI geschaffen, welches eine Basis für die Regulierung bildet, aber auch das Vertrauen in die Technologie sowie Innovation stärkt.
