Abstract

Bedingungsloser Zugang zu den Gütern, die unser Leben möglich und schön machen – und das für alle: Das ist Öffentlicher Luxus! Vom öffentlichen Nahverkehr, der Autos überflüssig macht, zu einem öffentlichen Raum, in dem niemand ausgeschlossen wird oder sich vor der Polizei fürchten muss. Von sicherer Versorgung und guter Arbeit in Bildung und Gesundheit zu gutem und günstigem Wohnraum zu erneuerbarer Energie für alle. All das ist machbar! Kostenlose und exzellente Grundversorgung bedeutet kollektiven Wohlstand. Öffentlicher Luxus beendet Armut und ist der erste Schritt in eine Wirtschaft, die nicht länger für Profite auf der Zerstörung von Natur aufbaut oder auf Kosten anderer geht. Wie wir dahin kommen, warum es sich lohnt, dafür zu kämpfen, und wie Öffentlicher Luxus zur gerechten Organisation der Sorgearbeit, zum Gelingen der Transformation und zur Demokratisierung der Wirtschaft beitragen kann, zeigt dieses Buch.
