Intergenerationelle Lebensqualität: Diversität zwischen Stadt und Land

Abstract

Subjektive Lebensqualität ist heute stark geprägt von der Diversität zwischen Stadt und Land sowie zwischen den einzelnen Generationen. Ein hoher Anteil alter Menschen lebt heute in gering besiedelten Gebieten, wobei dieser Anteil zukünftig noch steigen wird. Die empirischen Analysen der vorliegenden, vom Sozialministerium in Auftrag gegebenen Studie konzentrieren sich auf die subjektiven Dimensionen von Lebensqualität: materielle Lebensbedingungen, Wohnbedingungen und Wohnumfeld, Infrastruktur und Mobilität, Partizipation und soziale Unterstützung, subjektives Wohlbefinden und Gesundheit. Hier bestehen systematische, infrastrukturbedingte Differenzen. Das eigentlich interessante Ergebnis ist jedoch, dass die regional unterschiedliche Bevölkerungsdichte in den meisten Fällen Differenzen besser erklären kann als Alter, Geschlecht oder Bildung. Eine Ausnahme bildet das Thema Gesundheit, hier haben das Alter und in weiterer Folge auch der Bildungsabschluss eine höhere Effektstärke.
