Abstract

Ziel des vom Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung (BIBB) durchgeführten Projekts "Umweltgerechte Berufsausbildung in den neuen Bundesländern" war, die Qualität der beruflichen Umweltbildung zu verbessern. Da die Qualität einer umweltgerechten Berufsausbildung in besonderem Masse davon abhängt, inwieweit Ausbilder und Lehrer für diese Aufgabe qualifiziert sind, wendet sich der Projektteilbereich "Qualifizierung des Bildungspersonals" diesem Personenkreis zu. In der dafür entwickelten Seminarreihe "Umweltschutz in der Ausbildung - am Beispiel von Metallberufen" zeigte sich, dass die Ausbilder dem Thema Umweltschutz oft skeptisch oder hilflos gegenüberstehen und dass ihnen der Umweltbezug vieler Themen häufig wenig bekannt bzw. bewusst war. Ganz offensichtlich besteht hier ein hoher Bedarf an Weiterbildung, wobei gerade die Verknüpfung von anwendungsbezogenem und umweltrelevantem Fachwissen mit den Möglichkeiten einer didaktischen Umsetzung im Ausbildungsalltag besonders wichtig erscheint.
