Trends ins Studium und in die duale Berufsbildung unter Berücksichtigung ausgewählter Einflussfaktoren

Abstract

Während immer mehr junge Menschen ein Studium beginnen, sinken die Anfängerzahlen in der dualen Berufsausbildung. Die Zahlen allein lassen jedoch nicht auf einen veränderten Studier- oder Ausbildungstrend der Jugendlichen in Deutschland schließen. Dieser Beitrag beleuchtet die Faktoren, welche die Anfängerzahlen in den unterschiedlichen Bildungsbereichen beeinflussen. Die Analyse basiert auf Daten der amtlichen Statistik für den Zeitraum 2005-2014 und berücksichtigt neben den Effekten der Einführung des achtjährigen Gymnasiums, der steigenden Zahl von Bildungsausländern/-ausländerinnen, der demografischen Entwicklung sowie der Situation am Ausbildungsmarkt auch länderspezifische Einflüsse. Panelregressionen mit fixen Effekten weisen einen leichten Trend zu mehr Studierenden nach. Eine Abwendung von der dualen Berufsausbildung wird jedoch nicht festgestellt. (Autorenreferat, BIBB-Doku)
