Abstract

Der für junge Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund besonders schwierige Übergang von der Schule in die Berufsausbildung ist von hoher bildungspolitischer Relevanz und erfährt auch in den Medien große Aufmerksamkeit. In diesem wissenschaftlichen Diskussionspapier wird ein umfassender Überblick über den Forschungsstand zur beruflichen Orientierung junger Migranten und Migrantinnen und ihren Chancennachteilen beim Zugang zu betrieblicher Ausbildung gegeben. Darüber hinaus werden anhand neuer Analysen auf Basis der BIBB-Übergangsstudien 2006 und 2011 sowie der BA/BIBB-Bewerberbefragungen 2004 bis 2012 die Entwicklungen dargestellt, die im Hinblick auf die Bildungsorientierungen und Ausbildungschancen der Jugendlichen mit Migrationshintergrund in den vergangenen Jahren erkennbar sind. Abschließend wird ein Gesamtfazit aus allen vorliegenden Forschungsbefunden gezogen. (Autorenreferat, BIBB-Doku)
