Standortindikatoren Österreich 1997/98

Abstract

Der jährliche Standortbericht gibt anhand eines umfassenden Indikatorensets eine Einschätzung der Qualität des Wirtschaftsstandortes Österreich. Anhand der Indikatoren für 1996/97 waren Standortverbesserungen zu verzeichnen (Erhöhung der Marktanteile auf den Exportmärkten, überdurchschnittliche Produktivitätssteigerung in der österreichischen Industrie, Qualitätsverbesserungen). Die Untersuchung der Determinanten der Exporttätigkeit auf Unternehmensebene in einem Sonderkapitel des Berichts 1996/97 zeigte, daß vor allem mittlere Unternehmen eine überdurchschnittliche Exportperformance aufweisen. Das Sonderkapitel zum Standortbericht 1997/98 befaßt sich mit der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der österreichischen Industrie und verwendet die Konzepte des EU-Competitiveness-Berichts.
