Konsumstruktur und Abgabenbelastung der Pensionshaushalte in Österreich 2019/20

Abstract

18% der österreichischen Bevölkerung lebten 2019/20 in Pensionshaushalten, die etwa 20% zur gesamtwirtschaftlichen Konsumnachfrage und knapp ein Viertel zum Lohnsteueraufkommen beitrugen. Ihre Aufwendungen für Waren und Dienstleistungen für Körperpflege, soziale Einrichtungen, Personenpflege sowie Ausgaben für Gesundheitspflege nahmen dabei einen deutlich größeren Anteil ein als bei den jüngeren Haushalten. Die Gesamtbelastung der Pensionshaushalte, einschließlich Konsum- und Verbrauchsteuern, betrug 2019 durchschnittlich 26,8%. Dabei entfielen 14 Prozentpunkte auf Einkommensteuern, 8,3 Prozentpunkte auf indirekte Steuern und 4,6 Prozentpunkte auf Sozialbeiträge.
