FIW-Jahresgutachten. Die österreichische Außenwirtschaft – Update 2020

Abstract

Die COVID-19-Pandemie hatte einen massiven Einfluss auf die internationalen Wirtschaftsaktivitäten und somit auf die österreichische Außenwirtschaft. Das vorliegende Oktober-Update zum FIW-Jahresgutachten "Die österreichische Außenwirtschaft" vom Februar 2020 präsentiert eine neue kurzfristige Prognose für die Entwicklung der österreichischen Außenwirtschaft in den Jahren 2020 und 2021. Die österreichischen Waren- und Dienstleistungsexporte werden im Jahr 2020 im Vergleich zu 2019 real um 12,4% niedriger ausfallen. Die Gesamtimporte werden über denselben Beobachtungszeitraum (ebenfalls real betrachtet) um 10,6% schrumpfen. Da die Exporte stärker von der COVID-19-Pandemie als die Importe betroffen sind, wird der Beitrag der Nettoexporte zum gesamtwirtschaftlichen Wachstum somit im Jahr 2020 mit einem Minus von 1,3 Prozentpunkten relativ deutlich negativ ausfallen.
