Ein Regionales Tourismus-Satellitenkonto für Salzburg. Erstimplementierung für das Berichtsjahr 2018

Abstract

Der Tourismus ist für Salzburg ein wichtiger Wirtschaftsfaktor: Laut dem von Statistik Austria und WIFO entwickelten regionalen Tourismus-Satellitenkonto beliefen sich die Gesamtaufwendungen für Urlaubs- und Geschäftsreisen, Verwandten- und Bekanntenbesuche sowie Aufenthalte an Zweitwohnsitzen und in Wochenendhäusern 2018 auf 5.643 Mio. €. Davon entfielen 64,1% auf ausländische Besucher und Besucherinnen, 35,6% auf inländische Reisende und 0,3% auf die Ausgaben im Zuge des Aufenthaltes in Zweitwohnungen. Die durch den Tourismus in Salzburg direkt erwirtschaftete Wertschöpfung machte einschließlich geschäftlicher Reisen 2018 3.446 Mio. € und einen Anteil am Bruttoregionalprodukt von 12,0% aus. Zusammen mit den indirekten Effekten trug der Tourismus 2018 15,9% zur regionalen Wirtschaftsleistung Salzburgs bei. Zudem waren im Bundesland 2018 unmittelbar 34.000 Vollzeitstellen den charakteristischen Tourismusindustrien zurechenbar (12,4% an der Gesamtbeschäftigung). Über alle Wirtschaftsbereiche hinweg hingen direkt und indirekt 44.900 Vollzeitäquivalente bzw. 16,4% aller Arbeitsplätze in Salzburg mit dem Tourismus zusammen.
