Green Care in Österreich. Regionalwirtschaftliche Bedeutung und Zukunftsperspektiven

Abstract

Im Programm der Ländlichen Entwicklung wurden Maßnahmen etabliert, die Betriebe dabei unterstützen, Geschäftsfelder zu entwickeln, die über die Produktion landwirtschaftlicher Güter hinausgehen. Dazu zählt auch die Unterstützung bei der Bereitstellung von sozialen Dienstleistungen. Diese werden in Österreich unter der Bezeichnung "Green Care" entwickelt und vermarktet. Über den Verein "Green Care Österreich" wurden im Jahr 2020 auf 113 Betrieben, von denen 58 extern zertifiziert sind, 170 Green-Care-Dienstleistungen angeboten. Die vorliegende Studie liefert einen Überblick zu den regionalwirtschaftlichen Effekten dieser Dienstleistungen. Gemessen an der derzeit noch überschaubaren Anzahl von Betrieben sind die regionalwirtschaftlichen Effekte beachtenswert sowohl im Hinblick auf Wertschöpfung als auch auf Beschäftigung. Der Bericht beleuchtet zudem auch Perspektiven sozialer Dienstleistungen im ländlichen Raum und stellt dabei Daten zur sozialen Infrastruktur und demographischen Entwicklung vor.
