Abstract

Das Eich- und Vermessungswesen stellt die grundlegende messtechnische Infrastruktur und verlässliche Geoinformationen bereit. Es erbringt komplexe, für das Funktionieren einer Volkswirtschaft wesentliche Dienstleistungen, die die Öffentlichkeit umso weniger wahrnimmt, je zuverlässiger sie erbracht werden und je reibungsloser die durch sie unterstützten Prozesse funktionieren. Die vorliegende Studie untersucht daher die konkreten Funktionen und Aufgaben sowie den gesellschaftlichen Mehrwert (Public Value) der durch das Eich- und Vermessungswesen erbrachten Leistungen. Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei die institutionalisierte Vertrauensbildung als Basis für die Koordination zahlreicher wirtschaftlicher Aktivitäten.
