COVID-19-Krise: Analyse der sozialen Lage in Österreich. Teil 1

Abstract

Die sozialen Auswirkungen der aktuellen Wirtschaftskrise treffen die Bevölkerung recht unterschiedlich. Die vorliegende Arbeit liefert eine erste Einschätzung der Auswirkungen der COVID-19-Krise auf die Einkommenssituation der privaten Haushalte und der Krisenbetroffenheit unterschiedlicher Bevölkerungsgruppen im Jahr 2020. Die im Bericht analysierten fiskalischen Effekte zeigen einen erheblichen Einbruch der Staatseinnahmen und einen gesamtstaatlichen Finanzierungssaldo von –10½% des BIP. Das verfügbare Haushaltsäquivalenzeinkommen entwickelte sich in den letzten Monaten nach Personengruppen sehr heterogen, wobei Arbeitslosenhaushalte im 1. Halbjahr 2020 beträchtliche Einkommenseinbußen verzeichneten. Die Betroffenheit der Lehrlinge, Personen in Kurzarbeit, Arbeitslosen und Selbständigen werden getrennt im Teil 2 der Studie näher analysiert.
