Abstract

Die vorliegende Kurzstudie hat das Ziel, einen wissenschaftlich fundierten Orientierungsrahmen für die zukünftige Entwicklung des österreichischen Tourismus zu schaffen. Aufbauend auf Indikatoren der wirtschaftlichen, sozialen und ökologischen Nachhaltigkeit wurden Zielwerte für das Jahr 2035 abgeleitet, die als messbare Leitmarken dienen können. Damit wird ein Beitrag zur langfristigen Ausrichtung einer Branche geleistet, die einen wesentlichen Wirtschaftsfaktor in Österreich darstellt und in vielfältiger Weise mit wirtschaftlichen, gesellschaftlichen und ökologischen Herausforderungen verknüpft ist.
