Abstract

On 6 June 2025, Euroconstruct presented its summer forecast on European construction markets towards 2027 at its 99th conference. This event was organised by PAB-PCR&F in Warsaw. It is clear that the majority of influencing factors are directed towards the growth of construction production in the next few years. Euroconstruct forecasts that production in the Euroconstruct area will show minor growth in 2025, breaking the downward trend that has prevailed in the previous two years. In the subsequent years, 2026-2027, the growth rate will accelerate further to around 2 percent. From a regional perspective Poland, Sweden, and Ireland are set to lead the recovery, and also UK is forecast to see notable gains. However, the multifaceted negative consequences of the war in Ukraine and changes in US tariffs are creating ongoing uncertainty. The Euroconstruct Country Report provides detailed information on construction market trends and fundamentals in each of the 19 Euroconstruct member countries until 2027. The forecasts and analysis are presented at country level and are based on a comparable, harmonised data set for the main construction sectors and indicators. The macroeconomic outlook is also included. With contributions from Anne-Sophie Alsif, Marie Bydžovská, Mohammed Chaudhri, Antonio Coimbra, Ludwig Dorffmeister, Josep R. Fontana, János Gáspár, Roch-Eloi Grivet, Annette Hughes, James Ison, Michael Klien, Radovan Kostelník, Nathalie Kouassi, Martin Kyed, Max de Lange, Vladimír Lenko, Jean-Pierre Liebaert, Lasse Lundqvist, Nejra Macic, Pascal Marlier, Antonio Mura, Mårten Pappila, Markku Riihimäki, Lorenzo Rodriguez-Fernandez, Stefanie Siegrist, Mariusz Sochacki, Antonella Stemperini, Mercedes Tascedda, Ludvig Uggla, Michael Weingärtler.
