Fehlzeitenreport 2025. Krankheits- und unfallbedingte Fehlzeiten in Österreich – Struktur der Langzeitkrankenstände

Abstract

Von krankheitsbedingten Fehlzeiten waren im Jahr 2024 70,1% der unselbständig Beschäftigten in Österreich betroffen. Sie verbrachten durchschnittlich 15,1 Kalendertage im Krankenstand, woraus sich ein Verlust an Jahresarbeitszeit von 4,1% ergab. Das stellt einen leichten Rückgang gegenüber dem Höchstwert im Jahr 2023 dar. Im Schnitt dauerte ein Krankenstand 9,2 Tage, wobei es große Heterogenität bei den Krankenstandsdauern nach Krankheitsgruppen gibt. Langzeitkrankenstände – also solche mit einer durchgängigen Dauer von 40 Tagen und länger– machten 3,1% aller Krankenstandsfälle, jedoch 39,8% aller Krankenstandstage aus. Muskel- und Skelett-Erkrankungen sowie Verletzungen und Vergiftungen verursachten den größten Anteil der Abwesenheitstage bei langen Krankenständen.
