Emissionen entkoppeln sich von Wirtschaftsleistung. Schätzung der österreichischen Treibhausgasemissionen auf der Grundlage der mittelfristigen Konjunkturprognose 2025 bis 2029

Abstract

Das Ziel dieses Projektes ist die Weiterentwicklung des WIFO-Modells ALICE zur Abschätzung der Entwicklung der Treibhausgasemissionen über einen Zeitraum von fünf Jahren, basierend auf und kohärent mit der mittelfristigen Konjunkturprognose des WIFO. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass unter den getroffenen Annahmen der Endenergieverbrauch zwischen 2023 und 2029 stabil bleiben dürfte, dass sich die Emissionen von der Wirtschaftsleistung seit 2022 relativ entkoppelt haben und sich ab 2025 absolut entkoppeln. Die Treibhausgasemissionen sinken bis 2029 auf 61 Mio. t CO2-Äquivalente und liegen somit 23% unter dem Niveau von 1990.
