Hintergrundberichte zur Erstellung des European Competitiveness Report 2011

Abstract

Das WIFO leitet seit 2003 ein hochrangiges Konsortium internationaler Forschungsinstitute zur Vorbereitung des Berichts über die europäische Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der EU-Generaldirektion Unternehmen und Industrie. Neben namhaften Vertretern der Harvard University oder der ETH Zürich gehören zu den Partnerorganisationen u.a. das National Institute of Social and Economic Research (NIESR) in London, das Centre d'Information et de Recherche sur L'Economie Mondiale (CIREM) in Paris, das Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Economicas (IVIE) in Valencia, das Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung (ZEW) in Mannheim, das Netherlands Bureau of Economic Policy Analysis (CPB) in Den Haag, Etlatieto Oy in Helsinki, die Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), das Institute for World Economics (VKI) in Budapest sowie das Wiener Institut für internationale Wirtschaftsvergleiche (wiiw). Schwerpunkte des Berichts für das Jahr 2011 sind die Themen "Konvergenz wissensintensiver Produktion", "Die Europäische Weltraumindustrie", "Industrielle Rohstoffe" sowie "Nachhaltige Entwicklung" jeweils im Kontext der europäischen Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und Industriepolitik. Die Zusammenfassungen der Hintergrundberichte erscheinen im jährlichen Bericht über die europäische Wettbewerbsfähigkeit. Die Hintergrundberichte werden häufig auf der Homepage der Europäischen Kommission kostenlos zum Download bereitgestellt.
