Ein Tourismus-Satellitenkonto für Österreich. Methodik, Ergebnisse und Prognosen für die Jahre 2000 bis 2011

Abstract

Tourismus-Satellitenkonten (TSA) dienen dazu, den Tourismus als ökonomisches Phänomen in Verbindung mit der VGR und anderen Wirtschaftsstatistiken zu erfassen und zu analysieren. Dabei bildet die VGR den Rahmen und Integrationsraster. Das TSA ist jedoch mehr als nur ein VGR-Subsystem, vor allem, weil je nach Bedarf zusätzliche wichtige Informationen wie Beschäftigung oder Investitionen berücksichtigt werden können. Gemäß dem TSA-Konzept erfolgt eine grundlegende Aufgliederung in "tourismusspezifische", "tourismusverwandte" und "nicht-tourismusspezifische" Produktion. Der Beitrag der gesamten Tourismuswirtschaft (direkte und indirekte Wertschöpfung) zum BIP betrug im Jahr 2009 auf Basis der aktuellen Wertschöpfungsmultiplikatoren laut Input-Output-Tabelle 2005 7,6%. Diese Kennzahl dürfte 2010 einen Wert von 7,5% und im Jahr 2011 7,3% erreichen. Die direkten und indirekten Beschäftigungseffekte des Tourismus trugen 2009 9,9% zur Gesamtbeschäftigung bei (Erwerbstätige auf Basis von Vollzeitäquivalenten).
