Ein Tourismus-Satellitenkonto für Wien. Ökonomische Zusammenhänge, Methoden und Hauptergebnisse 2008

Abstract

Der Tourismus spielt in der Wiener Volkswirtschaft eine bedeutende Rolle: Laut dem von Statistik Austria und Österreichischem Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung entwickelten regionalen Tourismus-Satellitenkonto für Wien erreichten die Gesamtausgaben für Urlaubs- und Geschäftsreisen, Verwandten- und Bekanntenbesuche sowie Aufenthalte in Wochenendhäusern und Zweitwohnungen im Jahr 2008 3,67 Mrd. € (+1,9%). Davon entfielen 44,9% auf ausländische und 54,7% auf inländische Reisende sowie 0,4% auf die Aufwendungen der inländischen Reisenden im Zuge des Aufenthaltes am Zweitwohnsitz. Die direkten Wertschöpfungseffekte des Tourismus betrugen 1,24 Mrd. € (+3,8%). Das entsprach rein rechnerisch einem Anteil am Wiener Bruttoregionalprodukt von 1,6%. Unter zusätzlicher Berücksichtigung der indirekten Effekte trug die Tourismuswirtschaft in Wien 2008 auf Basis der Input-Output-Tabelle 2005 mit 3,55 Mrd. € 4,7% zur regionalen Gesamtwirtschaft bei.
