Ein Tourismus-Satellitenkonto für Niederösterreich. Ökonomische Zusammenhänge, Methoden und Hauptergebnisse 2008

Abstract

Der Tourismus spielt in der niederösterreichischen Volkswirtschaft eine bedeutende Rolle: Laut dem von Statistik Austria und WIFO entwickelten regionalen Tourismus-Satellitenkonto für Niederösterreich erreichten die Gesamtausgaben für Urlaubs- und Geschäftsreisen, Verwandten- und Bekanntenbesuche sowie Aufenthalte am Zweitwohnsitz im Jahr 2008 2,78 Mrd. € (+3,2%). Davon entfielen 65,8% auf inländische und 32,9% auf ausländische Reisende sowie 1,3% auf die Ausgaben der inländischen Reisenden im Zuge von Aufenthalten am Zweitwohnsitz. Das Volumen der direkten Wertschöpfungseffekte des Tourismus in Niederösterreich betrug 1,19 Mrd. €; dies entsprach rein rechnerisch einem Anteil am Bruttoregionalprodukt von 2,7%. Der Beitrag der direkten und indirekten Tourismuswertschöpfung zur regionalen Gesamtwirtschaft erreichte 2008 auf Basis der Input-Output-Tabelle 2005 5,8%.
