Statistische Zerlegung produktspezifischer Inflationsraten in Österreich und in der Eurozone

Abstract

Die vorliegende Studie präsentiert eine statistische Zerlegung der Inflationsraten im Euro-Raum (ohne Slowenien) in eine gemeinsame produktspezifische ("internationale") Komponente und eine länderspezifische Komponente für jedes Produkt in jedem Land ("nationale" Komponente). Mit einem panelökonometrischen fixed effects model werden disaggregierte monatliche Inflationsraten auf Basis der harmonisierten Verbraucherpreisindizes für den Zeitraum 2002 bis 2007 untersucht. In Österreich ist der überwiegende Teil der Inflationsbeschleunigung auf die internationale Komponente zurückzuführen. Für einzelne Produktgruppen – Milch, Käse und Eier, Öle und Fette, Erzeugnisse für die Wohnungsinstandhaltung, Elektrizität, Gas, Bekleidung und Schuhe, pharmazeutische Erzeugnisse – zeigt sich im Jahr 2007 aber ein ausgeprägter länderspezifischer Beitrag. Die Studie enthält einen Datenband mit einer Aktualisierung der Berechnungen für Österreich und den Euro-Raum bis 2008.
