Abstract

Am Beispiel Indonesiens zeigt sich die geringe Präsenz Österreichs auf Märkten außerhalb seiner unmittelbaren Umgebung. Indonesien kann geradezu als Paradefall eines aufstrebenden Marktes gelten, der nicht nur Exporteuren auf längere Sicht große Absatzchancen bietet, sondern aufgrund seiner geographischen Lage, seiner Ausstattung mit natürlichen Ressourcen, seines großen Arbeitskräftepotentials und seiner institutionellen Infrastruktur auch ein attraktiver Standort für ausländische Investitionen ist. Indonesien zählt daher zu jenen Auslandsmärkten, auf denen Österreichs Wirtschaft künftig einen Schwerpunkt sehen sollte. Nicht nur seine Größe und Wachstumsdynamik legen dies nahe, sondern auch seine relativ hohe internationale Bonität, stabile politische Rahmenbedingungen und ein liberales wirtschafts- und handelspolitisches Regime.
