Entsorgungswirtschaft in Österreich. Branchenstudie

Abstract

Die Entsorgungswirtschaft ist in der österreichischen Produktionsstatistik nicht als eigene Branche erfaßt. Deshalb fehlen Informationen üben den Umsatz, die Beschäftigtenzahl, Betriebsgröße usw. dieses Wirtschaftsbereichs. Die Studie des WIFO versucht, diese Lücke zu schließen und Marktteilnehmer, Marktstruktur, Technologien und Marktvolumen zu erfassen. Die Studie schätzt für die einzelnen Teilsegmente der Entsorgungsbranche das Marktvolumen. Aus der Summe der Teilmärkte ergibt sich das Umsatzvolumen der Gesamtbranche. Das Marktvolumen der österreichischen Entsorgungswirtschaft betrug 1993 mindestens 12 Mrd. S (private und öffentliche Entsorgungswirtschaft). Mindestens 9.000 Beschäftigte finden in dieser Branche Arbeit.
